Daddy's Birthday

On September 30th, Daddy celebrated his 44th birthday. He wanted a pumpkin pie instead of a cake for his birthday. So, we made a pumpkin pie and Molly put 44 on the pie with chocolate chips. The next day we made him a carrot cake and celebrated with some friends.

The Ozley's

On Tuesday, September 30th we went and met the Ozley's. These are good friends of our grandparents that happened to have been on a cruise that ended here! It was a lot of fun. We took them to Ortakoy and we ate some dessert there, at a fancy restuarant! Then when we got back to their hotel, Miss Chris, gave us some beautiful hand bags! On the way back it was cold on the ferry boat and so that is why we have our hoods on!

First Day of school

Sorry I haven't posted lately, I have been busy with school! We have had two great weeks of school! I have a lot of homework but I somehow get through it all by the next day! The first picture is taken on the first day of school. Then the second one was taken from our balcony. Mama and Daddy watch us from the balcony everyday when we are waiting for the bus. Molly and I always make fun of them, because when we look up to the balcony all you can see are their heads!! We call them turtles!

Aunt Julie's Visit

Aunt Julie is the only one of our relatives that has come to visit us twice since we have lived here! This time she got to stay longer and we weren't in school! We had a lot of fun together. We took her to Ortakoy, a really pretty section of Istanbul. We ate some good mexican food and bought some gifts there. We also took her to Kahve Dunyasi(Coffee World). We got chocolate fondue and some really good banana drinks! If you would come and visit we will take you there too!! We love our Aunt Julie!!!

Team AGM

For our Team 2008 AGM we went to Kartepe. It was a blast, but the most fun of all of it was that Aunt Julie came with her church to put it on!! These are some of the pictures from the AGM:

Fun in the Sun

We went to the beach on Thursday! We had a lot of fun! The waves were huge and almost always pushed Molly and I under the water!! We had a relaxing time at the beach!

Our Pizza night

Tonight we are making homemade pizza! First, we went to the "Ekmek fırını", which is translated the bread oven!! We bought some dough for 1 lira. Then, we brought it home and went to work!! We rolled it out and had a little fun playing with it as you can see in the pictures!! Then we put the toppings on. Next stop was the oven!! It was a lot of fun!!!

Molly's jewels

Molly was being very creative yesterday, by making jewelry out of normal household items!! The "earrings" are actually Christmas ornaments and the "boa" is actually a bungee cord!!

My Birthday

My birthday was Wednesday, July 30th! I had a fun day! Molly got me some fake nails from "Claires"! We put them on but they only lasted for about 2 hours. We went to a mall on the European side called "Kanyon Mall". We ate lunch there and then came home. My mom made a fantastic dinner! Then we had some people over to eat my fruit pizza (which was my cake!) It was very good! I had a great 13th birthday!

Our Baptism

Molly and I were baptized on Sunday! Our house church went to the beach and we got baptized in the Black Sea. It was a beautiful day and the right timing. We had an incredible day!!
